Sabrina Howell is the Ogunlesi Family Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, among other affiliations. Professor Howell’s research focuses on entrepreneurial finance, private equity, innovation, fintech, and China. A theme across her work is relevance to policymakers and practitioners. Howell was previously a Professor of Finance at the New York University Stern School of Business. She received her B.A. from Yale University in 2008 and her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2015. In between, she worked as an energy consultant for Charles River Associates in Houston, and on energy security policy for Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE) in Washington DC. She was a 2023 Poets & Quants Best 40-Under-40 MBA Professor, and has received awards including the Kauffman Foundation Junior Faculty Fellowship and the AQR Asset Management Institute Young Researcher Award. Howell lives with her husband and two children (born 2018 and 2023).
